Keep it Wrapped!!

A word to my fellow ATVers

Many people dont realize it, but one of the leading causes of ATV engine failure is due to fuel contamination.  And one of the number one sources for these contaminants can be found on the inside of the fuel filler nozzle of your onboard fuel station.  And for many the result has been premature engine failure, which resulted in costly engine repairs.  And what makes matters worse is that they werent aware that the fuel filler nozzle was the likely culprit, and still dont.

If youre like me, youve done everything that you thought you could to protect your investment.  Cleaned your air filter regularly, changed the oil, changed and flushed the radiator fluid, and added grease to the zerk fittings.  I even cleaned my fuel filler nozzle before using it, or so I thought.

It wasnt until too long ago that on one of my trips to the sand dunes, my bikes engine started acting poorly.  The idle was very rough, and the bike wasnt easy to start.  Through the process of elimination I narrowed down the problem to being linked to the bikes carburetor.  When I removed the carburetor for inspection I found the problem, dirt had lined the carburetors bowl, and plugged the main jet.  Locating the source of the contamination wasnt obvious at first, but was finally discovered.  And to my surprise, it was the fuel filler nozzle of my on board fuel station.  When Id clean the inside of the fuel filler nozzle, I was inadvertently pushing some of the dirt deeper inside the filler tube, and it would become lodged in the crevices.  Then when I pumped gas from the fuel station, the contaminants would become dislodged, and enter into my bikes fuel tank.

I was lucky though, because no major engine damage had occurred, and after some thorough cleaning of my carburetor, I was able to remedy the problem, and get back to riding.

This is why I created the NozzleCondom product line, and hope that it serves you as well as it has me. The design prevents contaminants from collecting on the outside and inside of the fuel filler nozzle.

Dont let a dirty fuel filler nozzle be the reason that you cant ride, or get stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Sincerely,

Russell Annis
